Who do you help?
Anyone with a life-limiting illness which is no longer responding to curative treatment
Our aim is to help people to live with their illness and to provide support to their carers
Why are you called St Teresa's Hospice?
Because the Carmelite Nuns in Darlington gave a donation to help us purchase our first building, and St Teresa is their patron Saint
Are you a Church Organisation?
No, although we welcome local ministers who organise a visiting clergy rota. We are open to anyone who needs us, regardless of race, creed, colour, sexual orientation - we aim to make our services accessible to anyone who needs our help.
Do you charge patients or carers?
No, we make no charge for any of our services to terminally ill people and their carers
