Schools

Fundraising is a great way to encourage children to support their local cause in a fun fashion!

Below is a list of ways in which your school could help:

  • Join our Rag Week across Darlington Schools and colleges. This involves selling Hospice merchandise and holding collections and non-uniform days
  • Hold a dress down/casual clothes day
  • Take part in our campaigns and sell our most recent cuddly toy! In 2005 we had ducks, monkeys and pups- who knows what could be next!
  • June is sunflower month every year nationally- you could hold a sunflower themed day, or hold a sunflower growing competition!
  • Sing! At Christmas time we recruit 20 schools per year to sing carols in Queen Street shopping centre.
  • Why not use your school social event as an opportunity to raise money for your local hospice.
  • Carry out collections at school plays, sports days, parents evenings- any opportunity!

Keep the FUN in FUNdraising and get in touch with our Community Fundraising office to arrange any support you may require in the way of posters, collection boxes, merchandise or ideas!

Fundraisers are available to come to school to give a talk about the Hospice and Fundraising- please contact us to arrange.
