Annual Appeal

With the support of St Teresa’s Hospice supporters far and wide, the “Hugs to St T’s” COVID-19 emergency appeal has raised more than £100,000 since it launched in March 2020. This has enabled us to continue our work against a backdrop of massive challenges caused by the pandemic.

A year on, as we are hopefully emerging from the coronavirus crisis, we are marking the anniversary of the start of our emergency appeal. This time last year services were in jeopardy, but now we are looking to the future and are calling on your generosity to help sustain services as we face another challenging year ahead. 


Thank you for making a donation to St Teresa’s Hospice. As we approach our 35th anniversary, we are still caring for patients and families at some of their most difficult times. 

There is hope for the future, however we remain cautious. It’s vital that we make every effort to sustain the core services that have remained operational throughout the pandemic.

The Hospice as a whole is funded by charitable donations, income from fundraising events, retail income, legacies, grants, and negotiated contract work. We rely on the support of the community to be able to continue providing our vital free care. Regular donations provide a reliable, essential source of funding that makes a long-term difference.

Your support will help us to maintain our core services in Community, in Inpatient Care, and in Bereavement Care and Family Support, so that more local people can get the help they need to live with their illness.
