Bag a bargain at St T’s Richmond

Community Support Fundraiser Emily Robson shows off a Bargain Box, one of the clearance sale special offers

An historic North East town will soon play host to an innovative shopping experience which will give customers from all over the region the chance to bag a bargain.

St Teresa’s Hospice is to stage regular clearance sales at its Richmond shop in the town’s Victoria Road in a bid to give shoppers the opportunity to buy a host of goods at rock bottom prices.

The Hospice has nine charity shops across the region and receives hundreds of donations on a daily basis. But there is only so much stock the shops can accommodate and now to ensure everything gets sold clearance sales will be staged beginning on June 5th from 10am to 3pm.

“We are enormously grateful for every item donated to us but unfortunately there sometimes comes a point when we literally can’t stock any more goods, so we have decided to hold regular clearance sales where there will be everything up for bargain grabs from furniture to bric-a-brac” said Marjorie McIntyre, head of retail.

The sales will take place the first Saturday of each month starting in June 2021 and will be held on the following dates:

  • 3rd July
  • 7th August
  • 4th September
  • 2nd October
  • 6th November
  • 4th December
  • 8th January
  • 5th February
  • 5th March

Updates will be published to the Shops page on the St Teresa’s Hospice website, https://www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk/our-shops/

St Teresa’s Hospice needs to raise £3m a year to provide free in-patient and community care for people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Darlington, South Durham and North Yorkshire.
