How can my Company/Group help?

Local businesses and groups provide vital financial and practical support. Read on to find out how you can get involved.

Why not adopt us and make us your favourite charity.
It’s fun and rewarding!
It builds teams!
It’s motivational and boosts morale!

When you Adopt St Teresa’s Hospice you are pledging your support to us as a much loved local charity. Adopting us promotes a positive, caring image of your organisation. You can see first-hand exactly how your contribution makes a difference to local people.

St Teresa’s Hospice is proud to work with a number of small and large businesses and organisations across the region. YOUR support is vital in keeping our services for the local community running.

What we will do for you…

  • Work with you to develop your own fundraising plan for the year
  • Present you with an Adoption Certificate to display
  • Add your company to our list of Adopters on our website, with the opportunity to display your logo and have a link to your website
  • Provide sponsorship opportunities to promote your organisation
  • Keep you up to date with our Newsletter in which we will feature your support
  • Keep you informed of events, campaigns and appeals you can support

Who can Adopt the Hospice?
Any business, organisation or group can Adopt the Hospice. Some examples include supermarkets, pubs, schools, cycling clubs and banks!

How long does the Adoption last?
As long as you or your organisation chooses! We would recommend a minimum of 12 months to allow time for us to get to know each other and to maximise the potential for support.

What can we do to support the Hospice?
During your Adoption there are many options for you to support the Hospice, such as:

  • Enter a team in one of our annual events such as Bark in the Park, Midnight Walk, Knockout Challenge and Santa Run.
  • Volunteer your time at the Hospice or our events
  • Sell our merchandise
  • Keep a collection box or ask your team to take a T Box home to fill with loose change
  • Donate goods for our shops or for our raffles
  • Hold your own fundraiser

The list is endless! We want to develop a mutually beneficial relationship and we will be with you all the way with advice and encouragement to help you achieve your aims. You can visit the Hospice to see how your efforts are making a difference.

Perhaps you work for a large company that supports a national charity, but you and your colleagues would still like to support the Hospice. Why not become a corporate supporter? As a Corporate Supporter we will provide opportunities to get involved and send you our regular Newsletter, but the amount of involvement you have is entirely up to you, and we will only recognise your support publicly if you wish us to.

If your company wishes to become more involved in the community, there are always opportunities for hands-on practical volunteer projects in support of the Hospice at our base in Darlington, and in our retail outlets and Logistics Centre.

If you think your organisation, group or club would like to “adopt” St Teresa’s Hospice as one of its favourite charities, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Supporter Services on 01325 254321.

We’re immensely grateful to all the businesses and organisations that have chosen to adopt St Teresa’s Hospice as their favourite charity because they believe passionately in helping terminally ill people and their families in our communities. They include:
