Each year we join Hospice UK and other local hospices for a week of celebration and action. It’s a chance for us to reflect on the difference hospice care makes to people’s lives and to thank everyone involved in making it possible. Moonlight & Memories Walk

Date: 18th October 2019

Time: 7pm

Take a night-time stroll in and around South Park, Darlington in memory of a loved one on Friday 18th October. Entry £5, or £10 with t-shirt Everyone welcome (including the dog!) Make a Will Month

What will your legacy be? Throughout October we will be holding our Make a Will Month. During this time you can make a free appointment to make or change your Will, in return for a donation to the Hospice of £80 (Single Will) or £150 (Double Will). Legacies form a key part of the on-going funding of St Teresa’s Hospice, and gifts that have been left to us have helped us to continue to provide our vital services in Darlington & District. Designer Makers Market

Visit The Witham in Barnard Castle, on 15th and 16th November for an opportunity to purchase unique handcrafted goods, direct from the maker. Designer Makers Market showcases the very best regional designers and craftspeople, with original work and a strong up-cycled theme. Meet the designer makers and buy handcrafted goods of gallery quality. Some will be demonstrating their skills and others will be running ‘have-a-go’ sessions. Admission is free but a donation to St Teresa’s Hospice would be gratefully received. Darlington Santa Run 2019

Date: 1st December 2019

Time: 10.00am – 1.00pm

Darlington Santa Run 2019 will take place at West Park Academy on Sunday 1st December, and is all about having a bit of festive fun! Every participant will receive a free Santa suit, or a hat for children, and there is no entry fee for anyone under five (dogs are welcome too)! You can complete your circuit at your own speed, and as an early Christmas present you will receive a medal and refreshments when you cross the finish line! Adults (16+): Early Bird £10* / Standard £15 Children (5-15): Early Bird £5* / Standard £10 Under 5s: No charge

Christmas Coach Trip to Manchester

Hays Travel Cockerton are putting on a Christmas shopping trip from Darlington to Manchester City Centre in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice on Sunday 1st December. Departing from the Dolphin Centre at 8:30am and leaving Manchester at 4pm. Tickets include a welcome glass of wine and there will be a raffle and Christmas Quiz on board – all proceeds from the raffle and quiz in aid of the Hospice. Light up a Life

Date: 15th December 2019

Remember a loved one and support your local Hospice. St Teresa’s Hospice will be taking part in the annual Light up a Life appeal later this year, offering you the opportunity to celebrate the life of someone special to you. All donors receive a beautiful card with their loved one’s name inscribed, and a light will be lit on one of our special trees. Light up a Life is open to everyone regardless of their race or religion, whether or not their loved one was cared for by St Teresa’s Hospice. A Dedication Service and Lighting Ceremony will take place

Christmas Cracker Concert

We will hold an evening of festive fun, entertainment and audience sing-a-longs at the Christmas Cracker Concert on Saturday 21st December! All your favourite carols including O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, We Wish You a Merry Christmas… and more! Musical Director John Forsyth MBE will conduct the “St Teresa” Sinfonia Choir & Orchestra featuring members of musical ensembles, schools, choral and operatic groups. Bark in the Park 2020

Dogs and their well-behaved humans are invited to put their best paw forward for St Teresa’s Hospice on Sunday 19th April 2020, when we will be holding our fifth sponsored Bark in the Park dog walk in Darlington’s South Park. Each dog will receive a rosette and goody bag for taking part. Many prizes to be won on our tombola, agility course and demonstration, stalls, refreshments and lots more! Great North Run 2020
