MOR Uke’s ukulele band will be holding a charity concert in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice on Saturday 27th July at the Wilson Centre in Long Newton. The concert will feature a variety of well-known tunes from the 1920’s to the present day, and there will also be a raffle. Hurworth Country Fair will return to the grounds of Hurworth Grange on Saturday 14th September 2019. Proceeds are in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice & Hurworth Community Association. This exciting event will feature a fantastic range of activities, performances and stalls, making it a great family day out. The fair will open at 10.30am and closes at 4pm. With plenty of free parking nearby the cost is just £4 for adults and £1 for children. There will be free programmes on the day to let you know what’s on! During this time you can make a free appointment to make or change your Will, in return for a donation to the Hospice of £80 (Single Will) or £150 (Double Will). Remember a loved one and support your local Hospice. St Teresa’s Hospice will be taking part in the annual Light up a Life appeal later this year, offering you the opportunity to celebrate the life of someone special to you. All donors receive a beautiful card with their loved one’s name inscribed, and a light will be lit on one of our special trees. Light up a Life is open to everyone regardless of their race or religion, whether or not their loved one was cared for by St Teresa’s Hospice.
