Sue Laycock will be selling beautiful hand crafted bird boxes and feeders, and wooden bowls that are ideal for tea lights or potpourri, at the Witham in Barnard Castle on Saturday 23rd November. A charity night has been organised by Hospice volunteer Nancy Spencer, taking place at the Darlington & Simpson Rolling Mills Club in Darlington on Thursday 28th November. Featuring live music from Jenna Highfield and Mick Richards, as well as a raffle, bingo, bottle tombola! Tickets cost £6 and include a pie and peas supper. Darlington Santa Run 2019

Date: 1st December 2019

Time: 10.00am – 1.00pm

Darlington Santa Run 2019 will take place at West Park Academy on Sunday 1st December, and is all about having a bit of festive fun! Every participant will receive a free Santa suit, or a hat for children, and there is no entry fee for anyone under five (dogs are welcome too)! You can complete your circuit at your own speed, and as an early Christmas present you will receive a medal and refreshments when you cross the finish line! Adults (16+): Early Bird £10* / Standard £15 Children (5-15): Early Bird £5* / Standard £10 Under 5s: No charge

Christmas Coach Trip to Manchester

Hays Travel Cockerton are putting on a Christmas shopping trip from Darlington to Manchester City Centre in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice on Sunday 1st December. Departing from the Dolphin Centre at 8:30am and leaving Manchester at 4pm. Tickets include a welcome glass of wine and there will be a raffle and Christmas Quiz on board – all proceeds from the raffle and quiz in aid of the Hospice. Darlington College Christmas Market

Schools Christmas Carol Singing

Children from local schools will be showing off their singing skills as they perform medleys of Christmas songs in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice. If you’re near Queen Street Shopping Centre 25th – 29th November, and Cornmill Shopping Centre 2nd – 6th December, drop in to get in the Christmas spirit! Christmas Tombola

We will be holding our annual Christmas tombola from Saturday 30th – Saturday 14th December (excluding Sundays). Light up a Life

Date: 15th December 2019

Remember a loved one and support your local Hospice. St Teresa’s Hospice will be taking part in the annual Light up a Life appeal later this year, offering you the opportunity to celebrate the life of someone special to you. All donors receive a beautiful card with their loved one’s name inscribed, and a light will be lit on one of our special trees. Light up a Life is open to everyone regardless of their race or religion, whether or not their loved one was cared for by St Teresa’s Hospice. A Dedication Service and Lighting Ceremony will take place

Christmas Cracker Concert

We will hold an evening of festive fun, entertainment and audience sing-a-longs at the Christmas Cracker Concert on Saturday 21st December! All your favourite carols including O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, We Wish You a Merry Christmas… and more! Musical Director John Forsyth MBE will conduct the “St Teresa” Sinfonia Choir & Orchestra featuring members of musical ensembles, schools, choral and operatic groups.
