The events of 2020 have shown us once again just how important it is to remember and celebrate the lives of those who are special to us.
Every year we take part in the national Light up a Life appeal, offering you the opportunity to dedicate a light to someone special to you in return for a donation to St Teresa’s Hospice.
Please complete and submit the form below to make a donation and dedication.
In the Tribute Gift section, please tick the box to confirm that your gift is in honour, memory, or support of someone.
The drop-down box automatically states LUAL 2020 – this stands for Light up a Life 2020, and ensures your gift is recorded correctly. You do not need to change this.
In the text box below that says full name please enter the name of the person you are dedicating a light to. This should be the same name as the one entered in the Dedication name exactly as it is to appear on the acknowledgement card box in the Gift Preferences section.
If you would like to remember more than one person, please return to this page after making payment.
Forms must be submitted by Friday 11th December. Please allow additional time for the busy postal period.
This year, Light up a Life will be a bit different because of the pandemic. Sadly, we will not be able to hold our usual Dedication & Lighting Ceremony in public; instead, we will be broadcasting a live ceremony from the Hospice on Sunday 20th December. An online Dedication Programme will be published for you to view during the Ceremony.
We will shine lights on the trees in our Hospice grounds during the festive season for everyone whose life is being remembered.
This appeal is open to everyone, whether or not your loved ones were cared for by a hospice. All gifts will be acknowledged with our thank you card.
Light up a Life will form part of our Shining Lights campaign and is one way to celebrate family and friends who are no longer with us whilst supporting St Teresa’s Hospice. Your support helps to sustain vital Hospice services and we need your help more than ever as we continue to deal with the impact of COVID-19. By dedicating a light in memory of a loved one, you will be helping us to continue our mission to provide free specialist care to patients and families across Darlington, South Durham and North Yorkshire.
We will send you further details of how to view the Lighting Ceremony once we have received your gift. For more information about our Shining Lights campaign and other ways to support St Teresa’s Hospice please visit www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk
